Booz Allen reports increased sales and profit in FY-20

Booz Allen Hamilton said today sales totaled nearly $7.5 billion in its fiscal year 2020, up about 11% from a year earlier.

The contractor said profit for the year hit $483 million, up 15% from the prior year.

In a call with analysts today, Horacio Rozanski said growth in the company's defense and civil businesses exceeded his expectations, but the contractor has made some changes in its intelligence unit.

"We've been talking for the last couple of calls about the fact that our intel business was not adding people as quickly as it needed to," he said. "We made some changes to accelerate that, and I think what you're seeing is the continuation of that trend."

"At the same time, we're working inside the business to return to a faster talent acquisition model," Rozanski added.
