Air Force, Raytheon finalize $272 million contract for SDB II production

The Air Force and Raytheon have finalized a $272 million deal for the sixth production lot of the Small Diameter Bomb II -- a precision-guided weapon designed to strike moving targets in all weather conditions. They previously signed a $33 million undefinitized contract agreement in April to cover a subcomponent on the munition's control actuation section made by Simmonds Precision Product and other parts made by Multicut.
