Air Force plans more ARRW testing while building air-breathing hypersonics portfolio

The Air Force's armament directorate is planning more tests of its boost-glide hypersonic Air-launched Rapid Response Weapon while also looking to establish new industry partnerships to support development of scramjet-powered munitions like the Hypersonic Attack Cruise Missile. ARRW, built by Lockheed Martin, flew on a B-52 for its final captive-carry evaluation in August, and now the Air Force is gearing up for the first experimental booster flight in the coming months.
