Senate appropriators oppose Navy's request for two additional LUSVs in FY-21

The Senate Appropriations Committee does not support the Navy's request for two Large Unmanned Surface Vessels in fiscal year 2021, according to the panel's FY-21 defense spending bill released yesterday. The committee believes the Navy has enough prototypes on hand to define the LUSV and Medium Unmanned Surface Vessel missions, program requirements and concepts of operations, according to the explanatory statement accompanying the bill.
