House lawmakers ask Biden to pick SECDEF with no history as a defense contractor

Two senior House Progressive Caucus members are asking President-elect Biden to nominate a defense secretary who has not been previously employed as a defense contractor. A letter sent to Biden today from Reps. Mark Pocan (D-WI) and Barbara Lee (D-CA) requests "that the next secretary of defense have no prior employment history with a defense contractor."
