NuWave acquires BigBear

NuWave Solutions said today it has acquired BigBear, which specializes in cloud-based big data analytics for national security agencies.

The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The deal marks NuWave’s first acquisition since being acquired by private-equity firm AE Industrial Partners in June.

BigBear was founded in 2008 and is headquartered in San Diego with offices also in Reston, VA, and Charlottesville, VA.

NuWave said both BigBear’s chief executive and chief technology officer will remain with the company.
