Navy awards L3Harris $496 million Next Generation Jammer Low Band contract

The Navy announced Friday it had awarded L3Harris Technologies a $496 million contract for engineering and manufacturing development for the Next Generation Jammer Low Band program. The NGJ-LB is an external jamming pod, an electronic attack capability for the EA-18G Growler. Northrop Grumman competed for the contract with L3Harris, and the Navy evaluated both companies' technology during the Demonstration of Existing Technologies phase this summer.
