Sierra Nevada protests sole-sourced Combat Rescue Helicopter upgrades contract

Sierra Nevada Corp. has filed a complaint with the Government Accountability Office against the Air Force's solicitation for a nearly $1 billion HH-60W Combat Rescue Helicopter upgrades contract the service is sole sourcing to Sikorsky. SNC submitted a protest Feb. 22 against the acquisition, according to GAO's bid protest docket, but the agency hasn't released the complaint detailing the company's objections. An SNC spokesman did not provide a comment by press time, and the Air Force did not immediately reply...
