AMRAAM missile flies longest recorded distance in counter-drone demo

The Air Force executed the longest recorded air-to-air missile shot during a counter-drone flight test last month, according to a press release issued Wednesday. The demonstration occurred at Tyndall Air Force Base, FL, where an F-15C Eagle fired an AIM-120 Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missile at a BQM-167 subscale aerial target.
