C3 AI picks Cardon to lead federal systems group

Artificial intelligence software company C3 AI said this week it has named retired Army Lt. Gen. Ed Cardon chair of its federal systems group.

"Cardon will provide leadership to C3 AI's Federal Systems group on critical national priorities, including the widespread adoption of AI in defense and intelligence systems, cyber defense, and ethical AI," the company said.

He spent more than 36 years in the Army, including most recently as director of the Army Office of Business Transformation. From 2013 to 2016, Cardon was commanding general of Army Cyber Command.
