Navy set to start SLCM-N development despite congressional concern

The Navy has requested $5.2 million in fiscal year 2022 to start design and development work on a Nuclear-Armed Sea-Launched Cruise Missile, despite concern from congressional Democrats about the program. The $5.2 million will go toward designing, developing, producing and deploying the Nuclear-Armed Sea-Launched Cruise Missile.
