Senior Pentagon leaders head to Hill to defend budget

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley are slated to appear before Congress this week to justify the fiscal year 2022 defense budget , which would cut procurement by $8 billion and divest some existing weapon systems in favor of new investments in emerging technology.
