System High names Kumbalek chief strategy officer

System High announced this week it has promoted Doug Kumbalek to executive vice president and chief strategy officer.

Kumbalek's responsibilities will "encompass strategic partnering, mentoring, business development, capture, proposal operations, and overseeing the creation of innovative solutions through the System High Analytical Research Center (SHARC)," according to a company statement.

System High provides proactive protection, security engineering, counterintelligence and cybersecurity and works with both government and commercial customers.

Kumbalek has worked for System High since 2019 and is a former Marine aviator and AH-1W attack helicopter pilot. He has also worked as a vice president and division manager at Leidos.
