House panel supports Army modernization funding

The House Appropriations defense subcommittee is supporting funding for a number of the Army's top modernization priorities, according to its draft mark of the fiscal year 2022 spending bill. The draft bill , released yesterday, would boost the Army's research, development, test and evaluation budget to $13.4 billion, above the Biden administration's $12.8 billion request.
