Senate panel approves Army legislative proposals on helicopter contracts, IFPC

Senate authorizers included legislative proposals from the Army to use multiyear helicopter procurement contracts and delay a new cruise missile defense system in their version of the fiscal year 2022 defense authorization bill. The Senate Armed Services Committee recommends Congress approve multiyear procurement contracts for the AH-64E Apache and UH-60M Black Hawk, according to the committee’s version of the bill, which was filed yesterday.
