Pentagon awaiting F-35 JPO APB submission before finalizing remaining IOT&E schedule

The Pentagon still has not approved a new F-35 baseline and is awaiting a submission from the joint program office following an interim program review in October. A previous IPR slated for August to review the F-35 Joint Simulation Environment and initial operational test and evaluation schedules was delayed until Oct. 13 due to personnel issues within the Pentagon's acquisition and sustainment office and ongoing refinement of the program's timeline.
