DOD bolsters program to counter small drones

The Defense Department has received congressional approval to shift $32 million to the Army to centralize the research, development, test and evaluation of technologies intended to counter small unmanned aerial systems. An approved reprogramming request -- posted by DOD last week -- says the $32 million “new-start” transfer “will include system development or prototypes of new capabilities and new joint improvements to existing C-SUAS systems, integration of new systems to existing joint capabilities, demonstration and test results.” The money is...
