House bill would increase Biden's Ukraine supplemental by $7B

The House Appropriations Committee today has teed up a version of the Ukraine emergency supplemental funding bill that would increase President Biden's request by $7 billion, taking the final amount to $40 billion. The bill would provide $6 billion for the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative , which allows the Defense Department to purchase weapons and other military services for Ukraine directly from defense contractors.
