Navy agrees with GAO that Congress should know when multiyear contracts fall short of buy plan

The Navy has agreed with government auditors to notify Congress when the service falls short of planned procurement quantities in any multiyear contract. An Aug. 8 Government Accountability Office report examined the Navy’s seven critical weapon system programs that used multiyear procurement contracts in fiscal years 2021 and 2022.
