New omnibus increases DOD supplemental for Ukraine

The White House initially sought $21 billion in emergency supplemental funding for the Defense Department to continue aiding Ukraine, but a new omnibus appropriations bill set to be passed by Congress would provide more than $28 billion. The bill would provide about $12 billion to replenish U.S. weapons transferred to Ukraine through presidential “drawdown” authority.
