Appropriators want quarterly updates on Guam missile defense project

Congressional appropriators are calling on the Missile Defense Agency to send quarterly updates on progress related to setting up a missile defense system to protect Guam against a Chinese attack. According to the explanatory statement accompanying the fiscal year 2023 omnibus appropriations bill released this week, lawmakers want the quarterly updates to include: "the status of environmental impact statements and site surveys required to support placement of weapon systems supporting the Defense of Guam, the upgrades to Guam's infrastructure required...
