APFIT announces four new projects; Shyu plans to fund additive solid-rocket motor tech

The Defense Department today announced the projects selected for the next batch of funding through the "Accelerate the Procurement and Fielding of Innovative Technologies" pilot program as Pentagon technology chief Heidi Shyu touted APFIT's success during a congressional hearing. APFIT will fund $11.95 million for Accelerated Procurement of Maritime Expeditionary Standoff Response Advanced Capability Modules for the Marine Corps, $13.55 million for ARCHER Airborne Threat Detection and Tracking for the Air Force, $14.40 million for Electronic Intelligence Modernization Upgrade Production...
