Senate Panel Approves Young's Nomination for Top Acquisition Post

The Senate Armed Services Committee today approved the president's nomination of John Young as under secretary of defense for acquisition, technology and logistics. Young, the director of defense research and engineering, had been acting under secretary since Kenneth Krieg left the post over the summer.
