Gates, Obama Transition Team Discuss FY-10 Budget, Topline Increase

The opening round of budget negotiations between the military services and President-elect Barack Obama's Pentagon transition team have begun with a proposal to boost the fiscal year 2010 budget request to integrate predictable war costs into the base budget, Defense Secretary Robert Gates said today.
