Perry-Led Panel Cites Need for Credible, Nuclear Deterrent

A panel led by former Defense Secretary William Perry, an adviser to President-elect Barack Obama, issued an interim report today urging the United States to maintain a credible, safe, secure and reliable nuclear deterrent for the long term.
