Canadian Official Defends Ottawa's Immigration Policies Against U.S. Terrorism Concerns

Canadian government officials have rejected allegations by a U.S. Northern Command task force that called Ottawa's immigration policies "favorable" toward individuals classified by the U.S. government as would-be terrorists. Joint Task Force-North officials outlined their assessment in a briefing posted on the organization's Web site, InsideDefense.com reported last week ( DefenseAlert , Feb. 20).
