New Directive to Spell Out Roles, Responsibilities for Defense Forensics

Pentagon officials are drafting the first-ever high-level directive on the management and use of forensic capabilities in the military, according to Defense Department sources. The document is seen as a crucial step toward establishing a "defense forensics enterprise," a concept spurred by lessons learned from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, one source said.
