Northrop Threatens To Drop Out Of KC-X Competition

Northrop Grumman today threatened to withdraw from the Air Force's multibillion-dollar, next-generation tanker competition unless the Pentagon makes significant changes to the draft request for proposals. In a letter sent to Pentagon acquisition chief Ashton Carter this afternoon, Northrop Grumman President and COO Wes Bush said his company would abandon the competition without a major overhaul of the draft RFP.
