As LCS Deal Passes House, Navy Says No More Extensions

A bill authorizing the Navy's proposed dual-block buy of Littoral Combat Ships passed the House of Representatives by voice vote this morning, but is likely to face stiff opposition from the ranking Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee. Rep. Gene Taylor (D-MS), outgoing head of the House Armed Services seapower subcommittee, introduced the bill.
