DOD Asks Congress To Nix Biennial GPS Reporting Requirement

The Defense Department is asking Congress to eliminate a biennial report on the Global Positioning System that it says provides little value and costs the Pentagon hundreds of thousands of dollars to produce. The report is "overly burdensome and provides information of limited utility," the Pentagon argues in legislative proposals recently sent to Capitol Hill.
