Navy used contracting waiver for CH-53K, AARGM contracts to expedite acquisition cycle

The Navy earlier this year used a waiver in federal contracting law to more quickly award contracts for a heavy-lift helicopter and guided missile, according to a Navy spokeswoman. The contracts were for Lot 2 and Lot 3 of the Marine Corps' CH-53K helicopter, and Lot 8 and Lot 9 of the Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missile.
