Air Force Progresses With MQ-9 Block 5, Block 50 Ground Control Station Development

The Air Force is proceeding with the development and evaluation of its Block 5 MQ-9 Reaper aircraft and plans to award a contract to General Atomics Aeronautical Systems to modify Block 30 ground control stations in support of those efforts. The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center's medium-altitude unmanned aerial systems division published a presolicitation notice on April 14 signaling its intent to award the company a sole-source contract for the work.
