South Korea To Sign Agreement For 40 F-35As For Initial Delivery In 2018

The United States and South Korea have agreed on the foreign military sale of 40 conventional-takeoff-and-landing F-35 Joint Strike Fighters, with initial deliveries starting in 2018. In a Sept. 24 press statement, the F-35 joint program office said South Korea intends to sign a formal Letter of Offer and Acceptance to procure the jets through its F-X fighter acquisition program.
