Navy to release LDUUV solicitation 'very soon'

The Navy will release a request for proposals for development of the Large Displacement Unmanned Undersea Vehicle "very soon," with the service working to finalize the document before the end of the calendar year, according to a program official. The LDUUV received milestone A approval Aug. 17, which allows the program to move into the risk-reduction and technology maturation phase.
