The Navy last week announced a $958 million contract award to Northrop Grumman for the Marine Corps' Ground/Air Task Oriented Radar.
Northrop will build 30 full-rate production G/ATOR systems, according to the announcement.
"Fiscal [year] 2019 procurement funds (Marine Corps) in the amount of $194,748,327 will be obligated at the time of award and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year," the announcement reads.
The contractor is slated to finish the work by January 2025.
Inside Defense previously reported that G/ATOR would go through a technical risk assessment before a March 2019 full-rate production decision.
