Senate appropriators call for termination of GPS OCX blocks 1 and 2

The Senate Appropriations Committee wants to terminate parts of the troubled next-generation Global Positioning System's ground segment development program and delay launches of early GPS III satellites. The committee's mark of the fiscal year 2017 defense spending bill would cut nearly $260 million from OCX Blocks 1 and 2 and would boost funding to enhance capabilities in the baseline Block 0.
