Air Force Accepts Delivery Of Nearly Four-Dozen Raytheon AMRAAMs

The Air Force has accepted 44 Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missiles from Raytheon following a successful live-fire test of one of the missiles outfitted with a new motor. Raytheon spokeswoman Holly Caldwell told Inside the Air Force in a Jan. 29 email that the service began smoothing the path to accepting the AMRAAMs equipped with rocket motors provided by Norwegian defense company NAMMO in December, but Raytheon had to wait until after a Jan. 11 flight test to ship them...
