Air Force to Begin C-130 Direct-Support Missions in Iraq Next Week

The Air Force will begin conducting C-130 air transport missions that directly support Army-specific operations in Iraq during a two-month test program that begins next week, according to a forward-based military official. The program is designed to simulate the mission that will be conducted by C-27J Joint Cargo Aircraft that are expected to head to combat late next year.
