Air Force, Northrop Grumman Reach JSTARS Settlement

The Air Force and Northrop Grumman have reached a settlement on contract claims involving the production of Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System aircraft, the service said in a statement. According to a service spokesman, the U.S. government has agreed to pay the company $76.9 million to cover cost overruns on five aircraft. "The claims were for cost overruns incurred by Northrop Grumman on initial production contracts for the refurbishment, modification and production of JSTARS aircraft," the Dec. 1 statement...
