Air Force Signs Up Five Companies For Worldwide Airlift

The Air Force announced yesterday it has selected five U.S. companies to provide worldwide airlift services through fiscal year 2001. The cost of the contracts totals more than $700 million. The largest award went to Emery Worldwide Airlines. Emery received a $421 million contract "to provide for FY 2001 international airlift services in support of Air Mobility Command," according to the Air Force statement.
