Army to boost SHORAD presence in European theater

The Army is moving to increase short-range air defense capability in Europe and beyond, several service officials said last week. Army leadership has clearly identified SHORAD as a key capability gap for the force. Lt. Gen. Ben Hodges, commander of U.S. Army Europe, has long highlighted the shortfall for his command.
