Army continues GMLRS warhead production, defers modifications

The Army intends to defer modification of its Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System Unitary missiles with an alternate warhead, according to a document obtained by Inside Defense . A fiscal year 2016 omnibus reprogramming request signed June 30 by Defense Department Comptroller Mike McCord would reduce by $9.5 million the procurement for GMLRS modification.
