Army developing capability production document for new robotic ability

The Army is pursuing a tethered unmanned aircraft system capability to help meet its overall robotic and autonomous platform objectives. In an Aug. 24 email, Maj. Mike Dvorak, robotics branch chief at the Army Capabilities Integration Center, said the "vehicle-paired UAS" would provide "a mobile platform to initially increase situational awareness, relay communications and better control unmanned ground and aircraft systems."
