Army requesting $111 million for Next Generation Squad Weapon

The Army in its fiscal year 2021 budget request wants more than double the amount it received last year for the Next Generation Squad Weapon as it gets ready to field the system. The service wants $111.2 million total for the program, $35.8 million in its first year of procurement funding and $75.4 million in research, development, test and evaluation funding.
