Army's Share of the Supplemental: $41.2 Billion

The Army is in line to receive just over half of the $81.9 billion supplemental budget request for fiscal year 2005, at $41.2 billion, according to the service. The Army's portion of the request, sent to Congress this week, includes $13.7 billion in personnel costs, $8.9 billion for procurement and research, $4.6 billion for modularity, $3.1 billion to reset and recapitalize equipment and $1.5 billion to add armor to vehicles and purchase force protection, according to an Army budget office...
