BAE Systems Sells Communications Equipment Facility To Integrated Defense Technologies

BAE Systems has agreed to sell its Gaithersburg, MD-based advanced systems facility for $146 million in cash to Integrated Defense Systems, the two companies announced late last week. Assuming government antitrust officials approve the deal, the transaction is expected to close in the next 60 days and will be accretive to earnings in 2003, Integrated Defense Technologies said in a Sept. 13 statement.
