Boeing, GD Blast Navy's $2.3 Billion A-12 Payment Demand

General Dynamics and Boeing today blasted the Navy for demanding a $2.3 billion payment for the canceled A-12 stealth fighter program. On Aug. 30, the Navy notified the two companies that unless they paid within 30 days approximately $2.3 billion the government says they owe in the A-12 case, it would turn the matter over to the Defense Finance and Accounting Service for collection.
