Boeing Official: New Mobility Study Needed Before Final C-17 Decision

FARNBOROUGH, ENGLAND -- The U.S. government should not take actions that would terminate production of C-17 airlifters without conducting a full mobility requirements study that takes into account military needs in the global war on terrorism, according to David Bowman, Boeing's program manager for the aircraft. The last such study, dubbed "MRS 2005," was completed in 2000.
