Boeing receives $276.6 million for Chinook Block II upgrades

The Army on July 27 awarded an engineering and manufacturing development contract to Boeing for upgrades to the CH-47 Chinook heavy-lift helicopter. As part of the contract, worth $276.6 million, the original equipment manufacturer is working to "validate technology advancements" to increase the lift capability of the Chinook.
