Bollinger Shipyards To Buy Halter Marine For $48 Million

Bollinger Shipyards has agreed to purchase Friede Goldman Halter's Halter Marine shipbuilding business unit, the two companies announced yesterday. Bollinger will pay $48 million in cash "and other considerations" for Halter Marine, a May 22 company statement reads. The acquisition is subject to approval by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court and the closing is expected to take place in late July or early August.
